St. Andrew’s Mission is a 501c (3) nonprofit mission organization based in McComb, Mississippi.  It was started by a previous pastor of St. Andrew’s Methodist Church in McComb in 1995.  This pastor had a vision of helping the citizens of the White Acres living community, a low income housing community located right across the street from the church.  The mission received a grant to start providing daycare services and a food pantry ministry for the residents of White Acres, and St. Andrew’s Mission was incorporated in 1997.

A needs assessment was conducted in 2006, and the results of the assessment indicated that a senior center for elderly citizens of the community to attend and participate in healthy developmental activities on a regular basis was desperately needed.  In contrast, over twenty seven child care centers were located around the McComb area, so it was decided that St. Andrew’s would no longer continue to operate the daycare.  However, today St. Andrew’s Mission has blossomed into an ever-growing ministry for residents of Southwest Mississippi and Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana.
